Description
WCS is an equal opportunity employer and seeks a Finance Manager for its Tanzania Program.
Overview of main terms of reference:
MSc minimum in Finance/accounting related disciplines;
At least 3 years working in accountancy and finance management;
Working familiarity with donor funded projects and its financial/admin requirement;
Excellent communication, reporting, planning skills
A very high level of integrity, honesty and sense of responsibility; ability to perform duties with high level of confidentiality and discretion;
Fluency in spoken and written English and Swahili;
Ability to work under pressure- independently and as part of a dynamic team;
IT literate and familiar with various accounting software packages. Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Excel)
Overview of main terms of reference:
- To manage the WCS Program’s financial system, including accounting, transfer requests, pay roll, NSSF and TRA payments as well as field advances to staff;
- Prepare budgets for donor funded projects, new grant proposals and as requested by program Director (PD);
- Preparation of quarterly budget reports to the PD;
- Maintains records of the organization’s assets;
- Monitoring of project budgets by tracking monthly spending per project per budget line, and reporting to PD;
- Advice project officers on project spending according to monthly tracking system;
- Carry out of day to day tasks associated with managing the finances of the WCS;
- Work on other assigned administrative tasks as directed by the Assistant Program Director (APD) and PD as requested.
