Description
BASIC PURPOSE: Performs floor care and other cleaning to keep public areas neat and clean as set by the Lodge Procedures and Standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Conduct self in a professional manner at all times. Pleasant and caring attitude towards guest and staff. Able to work well as part of a team. Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
Adhere to the established standard of conduct and house rules, fire regulations and department procedures and policies.
Dress in issued uniform and ensure a neat, clean and tidy appearance at all times.
Report to work on time, aware of schedule at all times and if unable to attend work, notifies the Supervisor in adequate time as stated in Employee Handbook.
Deep cleans guest corridors, Pantries and washrooms, and other service areas. Uses vacuum, carpet extractor and buffer.
Sweeps and mops floors and stairwells. Scrub, Seals, waxes, polish tile, and Tanga stones. Vacuum and shampoos carpet, scour all wall surfaces. Uses appropriate cleaning solutions.
Stock all corridors’ cabinets with clean linen and terry, and replenishes all guest supplies daily.
Clear all dirty linen and terry from pantries and send them to Laundry daily.
Collects SPA soiled linen and terry to Laundry and delivers clean linen and terry to SPA
Remove all garbage and recyclable items from pantries and place in the sorting area in the incinerator area.
Ensures sufficient pool towels supply is maintained, and soiled pool towels are sent to Laundry daily.
Refills Room Attendants and Public Areas Attendants cleaning chemicals prior every shift.
Ensure the Housekeeping Storages are kept in a clean and tidy condition at all times.
Ensures the Walk ways pantries in Blocks 2 and 5 are clean and well arranged all the times
Assist to reduce wastage of supplies and amenities by proper handling, usage and storage.
Report any damages or repairs and maintenance needed to Housekeeping.
Report any items found unattended in public areas to Housekeeping and Security.
Well informed of basic Lodge information in order to assist any guest when enquired.
Able to operate and maintain Golf cars and drive in a recommended speed as per Four Seasons standards.
Picks up and delivers guest request items on a timely basis such as Irons, Ironing boards, Cribs and Roll-aways.
Must be able to work nights, midnight to 8:00 AM. Able to work flexible hours and shifts. Able to work on extended hours when required by Management.
Able to perform physically demanding tasks continuously throughout the required shift. (i.e.; walking, climbing, bending, pushing, lifting, squatting and handling of cleaning machinery)

OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Able to assist in other sections of Housekeeping works when required
Assist Crunch Team to departments throughout the Lodge.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Able to carry out PA window cleaning / floor scrubbing and polishing as and when required.
May be required to temporarily relocate to Arusha logistics office to assist as needed.
Assists House Attendants with the moving of furniture and other duties.
